Who says I ain't a fun guy?
Apologies for the lameness of the title of this post. I can't help myself sometimes. So, I've had this blog kind of sitting here for a while, not doing much. I couldn't decide whether to start blogging again. But it's national blogging month, or NaBloPoMo and a couple of friends are doing it and I thought it might be therapeutic. Also, lately we've been really into mushroom identification and so I have all these photos of fungi and nowhere to put them really, so I figured why not make a post about them? We picked up a mushroom identification guide at the end of September, while in North Wales and started identifying straight away. Here are some of our finds. For added fun, see if you can guess which ones are edible! My answers tomorrow.

I've been having encounters with mushrooms lately so it is really funny/awesome that you, on another continent, are too. There are a bunch growing around my neighborhood and J and I have seen a bunch while hiking in Lynn Valley. Looking forward to following your blog dearie - I didn't know you started back in July.. so I've added you to my links/bookmarks now.
ReplyDeleteYep, it is mushroom season. Can you guess what any of these are? Yeah, I started the blog while trying to work on my dissertation over the summer, i.e. I was procrastinating. I didn't distribute the link because I didn't know if I'd keep it up, and also because I thought maybe I should just grow it organically before trying to write for an audience... but I think I'll join you in NaBoPloMo as I could do with an outlet at the moment.
